Vincent Mason started the night with a 30-minute acoustic set. It was the first time the singer/songwriter had played or been in Chicago, and the crowd welcomed him warmly. Mason played some of his well-known songs like his latest release "Good Thing Going," & “A Little Too Good” which showcased his emotive voice and powerful lyrics. Mason is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter with Georgia roots, and his creative approaches to songwriting are heavily informed by his upbringing and unique path to stardom. His hometown of Roswell, GA, fostered his love for music. The mix of big-city and small-town lifestyles made for a unique influence on his music. The acoustic set was a hit with the audience, who were clapping along and tapping their feet to the rhythm of the music. But it was the unreleased song, "Hey Texas," that had everyone talking as Mason closed out his set.
