Corey Kent Comes Full Circle
On October 21st, Corey Kent came what he called “full circle” as he took the stage with his band at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, GA for the first time. “Eddie’s was the only place I ever performed outside of Oklahoma when I was just 17 years old. I would make the drive and crash on the couch here for the night after the show. Tonight is a special night as this is my first time on this stage with a full band and a sold-out crowd!” Kent exclaimed.
The concert started off with a last-minute addition to the lineup, with up-and-coming country rock artist Trey Odum opening and taking the crowd by surprise with his powerhouse vocals. Odum had the crowd, who wisely didn’t know he’d be performing since he was asked to open the day before the show, captivated by the end of his own rendition of Sweet Child of Mine that he mashed up with Times Like These by the Foo Fighters. This is an artist that should definitely not be overlooked! I can tell you right now that the wheels are moving and he will be a household name sooner than later.
As the crowd cheered and chanted, Corey came out on stage to over 100 attendees packed into the small listening room which sits above a Waffle House. A charming spot that gives everyone in attendance a front-row seat to see some of their favorite artists. Playing fan favorites such as his newest single, Hood of that Car and Wild as Her, you could tell that Kent and his band were having a blast with each song. After a handful of songs with his guys, Corey excused the band and performed solo acoustic for an intimate experience those who were there won't soon forget.
Now, coming off his own headlining tour in January, Corey and the band are hitting the road with Parker McCollum! The Parker McCollum Spring Tour starts in February 2023! You can also find Kent at Stagecoach in southern California at the end of April!
