The pouring rain didn’t stop newcomer John Morgan from taking the Country Thunder stage on day two.

“Y’all ready.?”

Morgan shared his first single Coldest Beer In Town that he released after signing with Jason Aldean’s Night Train Records this year. Morgan also performed two Jason Aldean songs he co-wrote, Trouble With A Heartbreak and Grammy-nominated number one single If I Didn’t Love You by Aldean and Carrie Underwood. Morgan closed his rainy set with his soon-to-be-released single Ain’t Been There Yet.

Kameron Marlowe proved you don’t have to finish first to be successful. Since appearing on season 15 of The Voice, Marlowe earned his first Gold certification for Givin’ You Up. Marlowe dignified the Country Thunder stage Saturday afternoon with his alluring presence keeping everyone on their feet with his own originals as well as some good ol’ country music classics, Folsom Prison Blues, and Family Tradition. Marlowe lit the stage on fire following three lessons that he shared with the crowd.

“I have learned three things. My family will never leave me. My friends will always have my back, and number three, money ain’t shit!”

The rain held and the sun shined down in time for Lindsay Ell, the first female artist to take the Country Thunder stage Saturday afternoon. Ell owned the stage with her sweet Canadian charm, strong vocals, and astounding guitar playing.

“Congratulations on finally making it to the other side.”

The crowd cheered with happiness. Ell’s set portrayed her storytelling lyrics from originals to a cover of Strawberry Wine and Ironic. Ell ended her set with her number one song along with Brantley Gilbert, What Happens In A Small Town.

Mr. Travis Tritt owned the Country Thunder stage Saturday night with his stage presence and connectivity with the crowd. Tritt began his set with many well-known hits over his musical career. Mid-set Tritt slowed down his upbeat vibe to honor the American heroes.

“There are only two things in this country that protect me, that’s the almighty God and our military. That’s it.”

Tritt explained how he was the celebrity chairman for Disabled American Veterans for four years as well as for the Veterans of Foreign Wars for two years. He continues by executing a very powerful and emotional performance of Anymore. What a Great Day To Be Alive.

Country outlaw Kip Moore rocked the tiki-lit Country Thunder stage on Saturday night opening with Fire And Flame. Moore portrays rasp and grit in his vocals giving him his own recognizable sound.

“Depending on how loud and rowdy y’all get, depends how long we play tonight.”

The showmanship that Moore displayed on stage was impeccable. Moore covered quite the set including Beer Money, More Girls Like You, Somethin’ Bout A Truck, and closing with a moving cover of Purple Rain. The fans fed off of Moore’s rebel poise lead him to claim,
