As the vibrant glow of the setting sun dipped below the horizon, Shipshewana, IN, prepared for a musical experience unlike any other - an evening with country music sensation Lee Brice on his Me & My Guitar Tour.

To begin the night, the stage was set alight not just by lights but by energy, passion, and a familial bond that ran deep, as Lewis Brice took the reins to warm up the audience. This performance had the audience intrigued, eager to uncover more about this compelling artist. Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for. As the event center darkened, a video screen flickered to life, painting a poignant picture of Lee Brice’s journey through memories of past tours, his family, and his music career. The emotional crescendo built until the man himself appeared, guitar in hand, ready to delve into an acoustic soul-baring session that promised to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Launching into a guitar solo with his Eddie Van Halen guitar, Lee Brice showcased his instrumental prowess before transitioning to a more intimate storytelling session.  He shared tales of his musical roots like the opening song Picture Of Me, and then moving to the piano for a touching rendition of Oh, How I Love Jesus, harking back to his first public performance in church. This was a Lee Brice show unlike any before – stripped down, raw, and deeply personal.

The sight of Lee wielding a guitar bearing Willie Nelson's faded autograph was symbolic, connecting past influences with his current artistry. The song Soul was next as Lee navigated through his musical and personal life with raw emotion. As the night progressed, Lee artfully blended his chart-toppers with the stories behind them, performing hits penned not only for himself but for other stars in the country music constellation, including Garth Brooks & Eli Young Band. He closed out his first set with a few high energy songs, which had the crowd on their feet. Drinking Class highlighted his party prowess, while Parking Lot Party brought an infectious energy.

However, it wasn't just the music that captivated the audience but the heartfelt narratives that accompanied each song, making every melody a page in Lee Brice's open book. Transitioning between the piano and guitar, Lee adeptly interwove tales of love, faith, and family with his musical repertoire. The vulnerability displayed in sharing songs penned for and about his loved ones, including Lee’s favorite song I Don’t Dance. Then the song Boy, didn’t leave a dry dad eye in the building, these songs encapsulated a night of shared human experience.

Particularly moving was the story of his daughter staying up late to record a song they wrote together, This Little Guitar, which had the audience hanging on every word and note. The familial theme was further highlighted when Lee invited his brother Lewis back on stage for a duet on Product Of, celebrating their shared history and love for music.

The evening crescendoed into a series of his biggest hits like Rumor, One Of Those Girls, and Hard To Love, before introducing an emotionally charged new song, When The Kingdom Comes. This piece felt like a culmination of the evening's journey – a reflective, poignant moment that left the crowd on their feet, giving Lee Brice the standing ovation he richly deserved. The night came to a close with an acoustic snippet of Me & My Guitar, a fitting end to a show that stripped back the layers of fame to reveal the heart and soul of a true musical craftsman.
