The Comancheros | Yellow Roses

With seven years of nonstop touring under their belt, country vocals with rock instrumentals, the well-seasoned The Comancheros released their new single, Yellow Roses from their upcoming new album Memphis to Mexico written by Tanner Jones, Jon “Deere” Green, and R. Michael Cook. The rustic instrumental intro sets a country western rock tone for the unveiling of the long-haired, western hat-wearing, country boy's heartbreak. The unalloyed, raw vocal tone highlights an effortless grit throughout the lyrics. Powerful drumbeats and zesty string strums continue into an instrumental solo keeping the listener absorbed. Persistent in the beat, a sleek, slowed-down vocal.

"I went to the creek today, to bury your memory away," picking up to "I threw one in the creek for you," to a stout finish, "I see you in yellow roses now".

The Comancheros will rock your world with their new single based on a true story of the aftermath of a relationship. “Yellow Roses” is a Midwestern cowboy’s idea of a heartbreak song that can easily double as a solo-drinking song. Produced by The Kentucky Headhunters’ Richard Young, the single and additional upcoming music puts The Comancheros on the map. Beautifully crafted with acoustic guitar riffs and pounding drums, it’s easy to imagine a crowd singing the song with the one that got away in mind. Fans of Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Cody Lee Meece, and 49 Winchester will feel right at home amidst the music and aesthetic of the up-and-coming band.
