Alex Williams Lays the Law at The Law Office

The stage was set at The Law Office in Yorkville, IL for Alex Williams. The Law Office is a smaller intimate venue about 90 minutes outside Chicago. Die-hard fans got there early to get a good spot around the whiskey barrel tables or at the bar which has its own special drink where they literally lit the bar top on fire to make this drink, it was a popular one amongst the crowd.

Alex Williams and his band took the stage for what some didn’t know was pretty much an album release party. Alex is dropping his first album in 5 years next week on October 21st & for the first-time fans were able to get their hands on the album at the merch table, but it was what he did on stage that made the new album ‘Waging Peace” come to life.

Alex tore through a 19-song set with only missing one song from the new album, so the fans in attendance that night, got a treat. It’s rare to hear a band play that many cuts live when the album is not in their hands yet, but to hear these songs live for the first time helps tell the story. Alex put it all out there as well the raw emotion mixed with his haunting voice and lyrics, unlike anything he has done before. He made sure to include some fan favorites “Little Too Stoned” & “Freak Flag”, but it was the new fan favorite “Fire” that closed out the set to a huge ovation for one of the best shows The Law Office crowd has seen.
