Everyone was excited to see Lainey and the opening acts of Ben Chapman & Leah Blevins. There was a palpable energy in the air that could be felt throughout the entire building. It was clear that everyone was ready for an unforgettable night of music. As soon as the lights dimmed, there was a loud cheer from the audience.

Ben Chapman and Leah Blevins opened the evening at the Rave Ballroom. Both are rising stars in their own right, and it was obvious why they were chosen to kick off the show. Leah Blevins opened the show, with her deep soulful twang and sweet energy. Blevins brings an upbeat and modern take on traditional Country music with her empowering lyrics and infectious hooks. Ben Chapman has a soulful and authentic bluesy country sound that is sure to please any music fan. His songs are catchy, and his delivery is smooth and inviting. Chapman and his band took the stage, setting the tone to a swampy, psychedelic set that could have fit right in at Woodstock '69. They belted out classic Hippie blues-infused jams that had the audience on their feet. Both artists were well received by the crowd and created a great atmosphere for Lainey Wilson's headlining set.

When Lainey took the stage, she delivered an electrifying performance that captivated everyone in attendance. Kicking off her set with "LA" Lainey had the crowd singing along to every song she performed. Her mix of covers and originals had something for everyone. She took on Rick Derringer's "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo", and Jean Knight's "Mr. Big Stuff". Her classic tracks like "Smell Like Smoke", "Road Runner" and "Watermelon Moonshine" got the crowd singing and dancing. Tracks from her latest album included "Hold My Halo", "Atta Girl" and "Grease". Her heartfelt rendition of "Those Boots (Deddy's Song)" had the audience transfixed as she sang each note with precision. Other memorable songs from her set included "Wildflowers and Wild Horses", "Wait in the Truck"/"Heart Like a Truck", "Hillbilly Hippie", "Weak end", "Rolling Stone", "Live Off", "Things a Man Oughta Know" and finally, the crowd favorite cover of 4 Non-Blondes’ "What's Up?". Lainey Wilson was in top form at the Milwaukee show and she truly brought the house down! By the end of the set, it was clear why Lainey is one of the most sought-after performers in modern country music. Her Milwaukee show proved why she is deserving of all her well-deserved accolades, leaving no doubt she'll continue her incredible success in 2023.

Lainey has a unique connection with her fans, radiating authenticity and serving as an inspiration to both younger and older supporters. The concert venue was abuzz with young girls sporting the same fashion as Lainey and beaming with admiration for her music. Suddenly, a little fan was plucked from the crowd to take the stage with Lainey. The little girl lit up with pure elation as Lainey offered to let her join in on the chorus. Later in the evening, a little girl in the front row received a special gift from Lainey – her very own necklace from the show! Lainey speaks to her own story of success, having come from a background of very little money and a lot of love and encouragement from her loved ones. This is seen in songs like “Atta Girl,” which was written for her friends, to remind them to never give up and follow their ambitions. There is no doubt that Lainey will continue to serve as a role model for young women and girls for years to come, showing that anything is possible.
