2022 CMA Nominations

Women are definitely leading this year’s 2022 CMA nominations. Lainey Wilson is up for 5 nominations, " Female Vocalist of the year, New Artist of the year, Album of the year, Song of the year, Musical Event of the year, and Music Video of the year". Next up are Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde with 4 nominations for, " Single of the year, Song of the year, Musical Event of the year, and Music Video of the year" collectively. The big award of the night is for Entertainer of the year and the nominees are Morgan Wallen, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, and Luke Combs. Luke Combs is up with 3 nominations, " Entertainer of the year, Male Vocalist of the year, and Album of the year".

Luke Combs is on fire right now with the huge announcement he made yesterday of his 2023 World Tour, which will include 35 concert dates. Cody Johnson with 4 nominations, " Male Vocalist of the year, New Artist of the year, Single of the year, and Music Video of the year". Another big category I feel like is New Artist of the year most of the time these artists go on to do big things within the next year or so. The nominees for that category are Walker Hayes, Parker McCollum, Cody Johnson, HARDY, and Lainey Wilson. I am pretty sure that November 9th is going to be a HUGE night in country music.
