Sofie Lynn Releases Pulling Heartstrings

Los Angeles native turned Nashville country artist Sofie Lynn recently released her single Pulling Heartstrings, in honor of her grandmother’s long battle with lung cancer. Sofie shares that her grandmother was her biggest supporter as this song gives fans a look into her personal life.

Sofie states, “My Grandma was always encouraging me to chase my dreams. When I decided to pursue a career in nursing instead, she was crushed. In 2016, my Grandma lost her 11-year battle with lung cancer and it really brought music back into my life. All of my grief was channeled into songwriting. I like to think she’s looking down from Heaven smiling because she knows I’m right where I’m supposed to be.”

Throughout the month of November, which is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Sofie Lynn partnered with the American Cancer Society to help raise money for those still fighting. At the beginning of December, Sofie released her rendition of Silent Night, in honor of her grandmother’s most requested Christmas song each year.

Sofie is excited to share the love and support of her grandmother through music with her fans. She hopes that her lyrics resonate with listeners in a way that they can relate to, reminding them that there are still moments in life that can make us feel close to those we’ve lost.
