Chris Knight Had A Story To Tell Milwaukee

Shank Hall in Milwaukee played host to Chris Knight & opener Borrowed Ashes. Shank Hall is the perfect venue for these sit-down Singer/Songwriter shows. With a quiet and respectful crowd and a room with some of the best acoustics, it was time for a highly anticipated show.

The night kicked off with Wisconsin’s own Borrowed Ashes. This is a new project for the singer/songwriter, but he sounded like a seasoned vet. The 45-minute set was stellar & full of all originals with some of the best stories I have heard. The way he crafted the songs & stories told makes Borrowed Ashes a must-see & someone you want to check out and follow.

Chris Knight took the stage along with his 2-piece band, to a thunderous ovation from the Shank Hall crowd. His mellow tone was just what the Milwaukee crowd was looking for, as they listened in depth to each of the stories Chris told with each song he sang. Chris didn’t talk much between songs; he let the music do the talking during his 18-song setlist. He did joke about only 5 people being in the venue the last time he was there, but those 5 must have told a lot more cause the crowd was fired up to hear each Chris Knight song. The raw emotion during the set made for a night most won’t forget and shows why Chris is a heartfelt storyteller. The crowd even got Chris back out for a one-song encore of “Jack Blue” capping off a night of some of the best-written songs from 2 amazing singers/songwriters.
