David Adam Byrnes rolled into Chicago for the first time in many years, this time bringing his band along for a night of pure & honest Country Music. David Adam gives you a 90’s feel but makes it his own & his shows are a true testament to that. Leaving a mark on Carol’s Pub, David kicked off the night with his song “Cold Beer Time” which set the scene for the famous Chicago bar. David filled the 23-song set with many hits off his 2022 album “Keep Up With A Cowgirl” & his 2020 release “Neon Town”, & It only took about 2 songs till the Chicago crowd was moving to the dance floor.

At one point of the show, David Adam stripped it down to just him and a guitar for 2 very special songs, the first one being his 2020 release “Pretty Blue View”. David Adam captivated the audience with this ballad. The next song was probably one of many highlights of the night. When David Adam first moved to Nashville he was only 19, and there was only one bar that would let him play, that being the Fiddle & Steel. It was only a matter of time before David Adam crossed paths with Singer/Songwriter & mentor Rick Tiger. Rick was the resident hot dog man, but more importantly, had advice for any situation & knew how to tell a story. In 2021, we lost Rick & it was devastating to the songwriting community. Rick was a rare breed, but people like David Adam will carry on Rick’s legacy through their music. Tonight, David Adam dedicated “More Afraid Of Living” to Rick Tiger, and to say I had a dry eye would be lying.

“If I said I'm not scared, I'd be lyin', I'm just more afraid of livin' than dyin'”

David Adam is currently on a 7-song streak of #1’s on Texas regional radio, & tonight he showed Carol’s Pub why it will be hard to break that streak. His traditional Country Music is just what we have needed in a while, mix that in with his live show which takes you on an emotional roller coaster and leaves you wanting more.
