18-Year Old Avery Anna took the Joe’s stage for her Chicago debut, opening up with just herself and a piano she did step away and strum a few songs as well. With influences like Taylor Swift & Carrie Underwood, Avery powered her way through a 45-minute set that included her hit “Narcissist” & her latest seasonal release of “Miss You At Christmas”. She had the crowd hanging on to every word during her mostly original written set. Let’s hope she returns to Chicago soon.

The music faded out and Spencer Crandall took the stage to a thunderous welcome from his Chicago faithful. Spencer was in Rosemont earlier in the year, but tonight he was headlining the legendary Joe’s on Weed St. Stage to a nearly sold-out crowd on a Thursday night. He came out of the gate on fire too with his hit “K[no]w Better” from his album Western. The tour with the same name is crisscrossing the US with over 20 dates ending in early 2023 and is a must-see. With singalong after singalong Spencer moved through a 17-song set never losing the energy, he brought to the Joes On Weed St. stage.

Spencer’s blend of Country and Pop kept the show upbeat but still personal with the lyrics that connect with his fans. On a unique note, Spencer’s dream is to headline a stadium one day, and to prep, for that, he had little pieces of confetti at the merch table that you could write your name on & he hopes to use that confetti the night of his big show. If he keeps up the talent he showcased in Chicago, that stadium show will come sooner than later for Spencer Crandall.
